The HAND GILDED is a LIMITED EDITION PRINTS of 10 copies, and it only comes in size cm 20x20.
It is hand gilded with gold leaf by me, numbered and signed.
All the prints come unframed printed with approximately a 3 cm white border, where it is signed and with a signed certificate of authenticity.

I only produce your print as soon as you place an order, which is why it takes us a bit longer to deliver it. Making products on demand reduces overproduction and environmental impact.
It is part of a series I am working on about the insect world, in a composition style that wanted to remind the insects collections.
It is called "Something Small", where the title ironically refer to their physical dimension, but they are actually not small at all.
All insects seems small or insignificant, but they are in fact incredibly clever creatures that have a key role in the life of our planet.
They are the base of almost every ecosystem, in nature, about 80% of wild plants rely on insects for pollination not to mention wildlife and human survival, with agritural and other industries.
Insects are the most numerous and diverse group of organisms on the planet, and are declining at an alarming rate, making them one of the animal group which is suffering the major number of individuals disappearances.

FRAME
For prints, it is very important to find the proper frame.
A tip is to pick a frame one size larger than the print and add a mat Passepartout.
That will give the print plenty of room to shine.
Your local, professional framer will apply the highest quality to your custom frame.

CARE FOR YOUR PRINT
Fine Art Giclee prints do not need particular care.
The print frame has a glass top that protects it against dust and humidity.
The hand-gilded print, on the other hand, needs some attention. Do not position the framed print in direct sunlight, as the gold leaf could tarnish with time.
