AVAILABLE ORIGINAL PAINTINGS"GOLDEN BIRDS" COLLECTION

"Awaiting spring"
Oil, acrylic and gold leaf on canvas, 40x50x6 cm, 2019
FRAMED
Three peaceful swallows are resting on a branch, waiting for the new glowing season.
These fascinating birds fly thousands of miles every year in an impressive migration, a well-known symbol of hope for the future.
I love these little creatures; they are part of my childhood memories. Every year they used to flock in thousands, and I used to observe them from my windows. Nesting, flying, hunting, or singing. I used to dream about their freedom, their marvelous joy.
The colours of the background remind me of the encounter between night and sunrise, cold and warm, winter and spring, dark and light.
EVERY PAINTING IS A PIECE OF ART, UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL. Please CONTACT me to purchase.
SHIPPING
Shipping is fully insured and covered by the customer. All artworks come securely packed with a signed certificate of authenticity, and they may require a signature upon delivery.

Please allow at least 14 days for processing and dispatching from the shipping day.
PAYMENT
I can accept payment securely through PayPal or bank transfer.
I can also accept payments in tree stalls without interest, with a 40% deposit. Please CONTACT me to arrange. In this case, I do not charge interest, but the work stays with me until the final payment.
PayPal’s Buyer Protection guarantee for PayPal users.
FRAME
All canvases are painted on the sides, so you do not necessarily have to frame them.
Nonetheless, I advise having one because paintings stand out and look more refined with
the proper frame. A tip I discovered with time is that a dark or black frame brings up all the details and light of the gold leaf. The glass top is also not advisable for oil paintings.
Your local, professional framer will apply the highest quality to your custom frame.
Of course, If you prefer a painting framed and ready to hang, please contact me
through the CONTACT page, and we can arrange it.
CARE FOR YOUR PAINTING
I apply a final coat of varnish to the original oil paintings, which protects the colors and surface from dust, time, humidity, and other environmental factors.
The varnish also protects the gold leaf, which would otherwise tarnish quickly.
The only advice, although not necessary because modern varnish is a very powerful and durable product, is to not position your painting in direct sunlight, which could damage the tone of the
gold leaf with time.
Please If you have any questions or concerns, CONTACT me. I'm happy to help you!

"Sunrise hope III"
Oil, acrylic and gold leaf on canvas, 40x50 cm, 2019
This is the third painting inspired by the theme of “Hope”.
I am deeply fascinated by the bright plumage of these sociable birds.
The lively colours of these creatures and the background are a reminder of spring and its bloom of flowers and life.
As soon as I saw them, I immediately loved the delicate figures of these beautiful birds. The combination of warm and cold colours, especially blue-green with red-yellow, give me a sense of balance, of restorative equilibrium. I also love the vivacity of pink and the joy of the flowers.

"Sunset rest"
Oil, acrylic and copper leaf on wood, 40x40x5 cm, 2019
This work is a representation of a sunset at the end of the winter, when the evening is still very cold, but you start to feel the first little signs of the new season. A colour, a smell, a bird song, a feeling.
In traditional Iroquois cosmology, the call of the bluebird is believed to ward off the icy power of Sawiskera, the spirit of the winter. Its call caused Sawiskera to flee in fear and the ice to recede. It is not a surprise that they have been used as a symbol of happiness.
These three little creatures really fascinated me, for their weightless figures and their bright colours, with the union of deep blue and red-brown, cold and warm colours, winter and spring. The white of the background is also a reminder of the winter, the cold, softened by the warm light of the sunset that glows with the copper leaf.
I love the sense of balance they express, of tranquillity, of companionship, as well as a sense of peaceful rest.

"Circular season"
oil and gold leaf on canvas, cm 50x50x5.5, 2021
FRAMED
Four swallows fly in a circle in the golden light of the sky. I love these little creatures; they are part of my childhood memories. Every year they used to flock in thousands, and I used to observe them from my windows. Nesting, flying, hunting, or singing. And I used to dream about their freedom, their travel, their fervent activity. They always bring me joy and serenity.
You can see the image of this painting from all four sides, and I love this idea of a perpetual, circular movement.
These fascinating birds fly thousands of miles every year. Every year they came back, no matter what. And they remind me that no matter what “this also shall pass”. Life knows better, knows its times, its seasons, in a cyclic endless repetition, where nothing ever rests the same.
Neither ourselves.

"The way we dance"
Oil and gold leaf on canvas, cm 50x50. 2022
A dance of little colorful hummingbirds. It is a painting full of colours, green, red, brown, blue, purple and pink. A representation of joyful creatures dancing, in the warm, golden light of the sky. It's a dance of life, where we all take part somehow, in our own ways.
When I started this work I was thinking about how many things in my life were unpredictable, and out of control. I had many things going on and many worries at the time.
This is to say yes, life is crazy but now I try to remember that if I can learn to dance through the ups and downs, I am safe. We all are.
Here's to the exquisitely chaotic dance of life.

"Ancestral route"
oil and gold leaf on canvas 40 x80 cm, 2024
A flock of swallows flying together in the same direction, with the last one calling the others, as if he doesn't want to be left behind.
Even the last one will reach its destination, in its own time.
These fascinating birds fly thousands of miles every year in an impressive migration, a well-known symbol of hope for the future. It is fascinating to me that they move in routes that they instinctively know, passed from generation to generation.
I love these little creatures; they are part of my childhood memories. Every year they used to flock in thousands, and I used to observe them from my windows. Nesting, flying, hunting, or singing. I used to dream about their freedom, their marvellous joy.

"Goldfinch I"
Oil and gold leaf on hexagonal canvas, cm 26x30, 2024
Goldfinches
" …are said
to eat the thorns
of Christ’s crown,
to lift some small measure
of his suffering.
Whatever your grief,
however long you’ve carried it—
may something
come to you,
quick and unexpected,
whisk away
the bristled edge
in its sharp
and tender beak."

"Dichotomy of love I"
Oil and gold leaf on oval canvas, cm 50x40, 2025
This work is a diptych inspired by the beauty and serenity of nature and a reflection on the dual nature of love—its deep commitment (devotion) and its fleeting, sometimes unattainable aspects (flight). I wanted to evoke the idea of hidden messages, beauty, and transformation, where the parrots symbolize the stay and the knowledge on one side and the living/arrival on the other. At the same time, flowers represent femininity, bloom, the fleeting nature of life, and the timeless essence of feminine strength and grace.

AVAILABLE ORIGINAL PAINTINGS"SOMETHING SMALL" COLLECTION

"Something small IV"
Oil and gold leaf on canvas, cm 20x 20,2023.
The first little bee painting is one of the few I could work on during the lockdown. And I remember thinking that maybe something very small, something usually underseen, would have saved us all, from the pandemic. It is part of a series I am working on about the insect world, in a composition style that wanted to remind the insect's collections. It is called "Something Small", where the title ironically refer to their physical dimension, but they are actually not small at all. To me, bees are phenomenal creatures, whose existence is severely threatened, and from whom we all crucially depend for our survival. We can feel like they don't influence our lives because they seem so small or insignificant, but they are incredibly clever creatures that have a key role in the life of our planet.

It is part of a series I am working on about the insect world, in a composition style that wanted to remind the insects collections. It is called "Something Small", where the title ironically refer to their physical dimension, but they are actually not small at all. All insects seem small or insignificant, but they are in fact incredibly clever creatures that have a key role in the life of our planet. They are the base of almost every ecosystem, in nature, about 80% of wild plants rely on insects for pollination not to mention wildlife and human survival, with agricultural and other industries.Insects are the most numerous and diverse group of organisms on the planet and are declining at an alarming rate, making them the animal group that is suffering the major number of individual disappearances.
EVERY PAINTING IS A PIECE OF ART, UNIQUE AND ORIGINAL.
